A beautiful setting
Now renamed Labranda Coral Beach Resort following its change of management in late 2017, this property enjoys one of the most remarkable locations of any hotel in The Gambia. Coral Beach not only overlooks the ocean, but also boasts attractive grounds, dominated by towering baobabs and gently waving palms that rustle in the refreshing coastal breeze – this is certainly a scene of serenity.
The hotel has become established as an all-inclusive resort, offering a good variety of meals, primarily served buffet-style, as well as live cooking, generally in the elevated Crematata restaurant where breakfast is served. The main bar is located on the pool level, so you can enjoy a drink looking out across the infinity pool towards the Atlantic ocean.
Located near the village of Brufut, the setting of this hotel is more secluded than some others in our collection, with few bars and restaurants in the direct vicinity making it ideal for those in search of a hotel-based, all-inclusive holiday. But with several activities on offer including water aerobics, table tennis and darts, there is plenty to do within the hotel, along with simply relaxing – not forgetting the on-site spa. Children's activities may occasionally be organised, subject to minimum numbers, and there is a separate children's pool.
The lively resort of Kololi is also just a 10-minute taxi ride away with its craft market, shops and numerous restaurants and bars if you’d like to explore the local area.
Sit back and relax with a treatment or two
La Brise Spa is located in a separate building, with a fitness centre as well as indoor and outdoor treatment areas, from where you can enjoy a massage overlooking the sea. There is also a quiet pool in this area overlooking the beach. All guests will receive free use of the sauna and steam room from 9am-9pm. See spa information.
A choice of sea-facing guest rooms
Labranda Coral Beach’s bedrooms are of a contemporary style, and enjoy sea views from their ocean-facing balcony or terrace. There are two wings: the Baobab Wing is closer to the main building and restaurants, housing the Standard Baobab rooms. There is also a variety of upgraded room options which are larger and closer to the beach such as the superbly located Beach Palm rooms in the Palm Wing, offering uninterrupted ocean views from both ground and upper floors.
With its beautiful grounds and beach access, a stay at the Labranda Coral Beach will be one of relaxation and rejuvenation.
